As to matters of family, this is a good time to follow through on promises you may have made to someone close to you, promises you may not really have thought you would have to keep. If you do, you'll both feel better about your relationship in the long run. This may also be a good time to revise your plans, assuming the need revision. Someone from a previous period of your life may suddenly show up again unexpectedly. In your rush to get your point across, you can sometimes be short or abrupt with people without even realizing it. Make your point in a calm, collected way, then step back and give other the time and space to come around to your way of thinking.

The average Cancer will see plenty of travel during the month of January. You may not be going on any particularly long trips, but you may as well plan now for several short ones, because they're coming. Make sure your transportation is in good working order. Relationships with family, lovers and others close to you may well be especially intense right now. That can be a good thing, but be mindful there's also a possibility of conflict with these same folks. Watch what you say, especially when tensions begin to run high. It is easier to hold back a harsh word than it is to retract one which has already been said.
