December 2019 Monthly Horoscope for Taurus

Mercury is going to be your friend in December, Taurus. No, this doesn't refer to the element. But in a way, it could, because things are going to be moving very fast for you starting right from the first of the month. The planet Mercury turns direct on December 6th before moving into Sagittarius. This means that during the first week of December the stars are going to be getting to their places like the curtain is late coming up. That much celestial activity generates a lot of energy and power and you are going to be right in line to receive it, provided you know how to harness it. Look for a lot of people being a bit frantic during this time, perhaps because they're very much not ready to harness that energy. You have the opportunity here to be a sort of leader, a role model, an inspiration to everyone to keep your head when everything is becoming chaotic. Meanwhile, that first week of the month is when you're going to take that extra energy and channel it towards a number of personal directions.

December is the perfect time to either pursue a personal project at work that will make you look good or (especially if things haven't felt that great there) to start looking around for a new job (maybe even a new career). Take advantage of the downtime around you to dig into this. If it is a personal project, really makes it personal. No doubt there's something that is entirely within your wheelhouse that you've been wanting to pursue. Don't sweat the practicality of it just yet. Even if it has no hope of being profitable or of direct use to your employer, run with it. This is the time for you to follow your ideas, not someone else's.

This all sounds very grand, but the fact is that you have that job to keep a roof over your head. There's nothing wrong with that, and we're not ignoring the fact that money is crucial for your survival. Thankfully, you have some financial gifts coming your way in December that - while they won't help you quit your job - will give you that much extra breathing room and the confidence to maybe take some career risks. Look for a bit of financial luck coming your way around the 13th of the month with an even bigger potential windfall around the 27th. We say ‘potential' because it might not take the form of a Publisher's Clearing House checking showing up at your door. It might be a business opportunity that's going to pay off for your further down the road. And while we certainly wouldn't advocate banking on a possible lottery winning, if there were (hypothetically, of course) a day for you to buy a ticket, you might think about the 17th.

You'll want to keep your head down in areas of love during this month. This doesn't mean you should ignore your loved ones, but you definitely shouldn't enter into any unnecessary conflicts or pick any fights. Instead, listen to what they have to say and only offer advice if it is asked for. And as far as strangers or possible potential mates, this is not the best month to seek them out. Certainly, if someone fabulous enters your life, welcome them in and have a grand time. But limit your networking and bar crawling. This is a time to slightly withdraw and look inward. You don't have to become a hermit at all, but you should default towards personal work first. You might have some interesting encounters with others on or around the 8th. Enjoy this, but don't forget to get back to work. There will be plenty - PLENTY - of time to meet people starting in January, so conserve your resources for now.
