When you think of big, dependable animals that get the job done, which will be especially noticeable in 2020, the Ox is near the top of the list. It's not for nothing that the expression is "strong as an ox". You, Ox, have been bearing the weight for everyone around you for a very long time. And while it might not have tired you (because you are as "strong as a You"), it does take a toll after a while without your realizing it. Because of that, this is a good year for you to start to say вЂno' to things and then notice what it feels like when those extra burdens are lifted off of you.

This 2020 year of the White Metal Rat will be very positive for you, Ox. Part of that positivity is in the sudden strength and lightness you will feel. It will be like a wave of newfound strength. You know that feeling when you've been moving to a new place and your day has been nothing but unloading boxes and furniture from a truck? And then you're suddenly done and it's an incredible sense of relief? THAT'S the lightness you'll feel.

January 2020 is going to set the tone for your year. It's going to have its share of happiness and unhappiness in a variety of areas. That description doesn't make it much different from any other time. What is going to be different is how cyclical it will feel. So with the release of heavy burdens and demands upon you, a period of great pleasure and decadent awaits you come March 2020. But dear Ox, resist the temptation to overindulge yourself during this time. By all means, bask in the pleasures of March and April as if in Kubla Khan's pleasure dome, but do not get carried away. How do you know you're getting carried away? When you find yourself saying yes to things that you're not excited about. May 2020 is the best time for you to organize any saving for the future. If ever there was a time to focus on finances, May would be it. That doesn't mean you need to become a penny pincher and stay in your house all month long. But if you've had the slightest inkling of a plan for saving, investing, a big purchase on the horizon, or just wanting to live a little bit more within a budget, set aside time in May for it.

Gather your allies, Ox, for June is the time to pull an army together. This doesn't mean plan your invasion across the mountainside, conquering all the lands you seeвЂ¦..or does it? The 2020 Year of the Rat is a prime time for great military actions, large and small. Hopefully, in your case, an invasion does not involve literal war and bloodshed. But if you have a goal that's been hanging over your head for a while that involves a real change in your routine, you're going to need help. Pull together your allies and think of them as your army. Let's say you want to get healthier. That army might include a trainer, a workout buddy, another friend to just keep you accountable. You need to pull together your wrecking crew to tackle whatever you see on your horizon.

We've talked about a lot of things here but haven't mentioned love and relationships, and there's a good reason for that. The first part of 2020 is going to be very вЂyou' focused, Ox. You're having your yoke released and that means plenty of time to run free in the field, being a blissful, solo Ox. This process will continue throughout the year but come July, it's time to examine your love life. If you're currently in a relationship, July 2020 is the time to make sure to take time out devoted to it. It might be an extended vacation with a partner, or just making sure you have time together on a regular basis without distraction. The stars sync perfectly at this time for love to blossom, so tend to the garden that is your relationship.

If you are not currently in a relationship, the confidence and power (and sheer joy) of feeling more footless and free will make you very attractive to people you want to attract. October 2020 is when you're under the microscope for how you handle bad situations. This is most likely going to be at your job, but it could very well extend to other areas in your life. 2020 is proving to be a rather frugal and thoughtful year for you moneywise, Ox. That is, until we get to the end of it. Get that lottery ticket in November. Don't blow your savings by putting it all on red or anything like that, but you have an instinct on numbers and November is the time to play them. Look to the beginning of the month to feel especially lucky financially. If you've made some iffy investment decisions earlier in the year, this is the time for them to pay off. Keep saving and investing, though. You're getting a good payout, but that doesn't mean you're ready to retire.

That's a lot to get through, Ox, so December 2020 is the time to pause and reflect. You've made some big decisions earlier in the year and now you're going to start to see some movement in your life. Reach out to family and friends (especially the ones you haven't heard from in a while) toward the middle of the month. Any newer friends this year should be part of this as well. You've done your big decision making this year already, so don't feel obliged to make big decisions now. Consider what you've decided already and rest up for what's ahead.
