Upcoming 2020 year will be the year of the White Metal Rat. But why is it that the Rat is associated in our culture with being conniving and untrustworthy? That's really unfortunate, especially since those born under this sign are quick-witted and smart. They're also charming and persuasive, and those powers in the wrong hands could be used for evil and nefarious ends, but for you, Rat, they're used entirely for good. You are able to convince anyone to do anything, and thankfully you steer them towards worthwhile and positive aims. This coming year is the time in which you need to do a lot more of that, maybe even steering them a bit towards your own ends. Don't worry: you're not going to become an evil hypnotist. In the first week of January 2020, Rat, you need to sit down and make a list of the things you wish the people in your life would do. It's okay if this list is full of very selfish and self-centered things. In fact, even better if it is. Write those things down, even if they don't seem important. Put it away until the second week in January. Then pull it out and read through it. Figure out what the top ten things are that you would LOVE for people to do for you. Then comes the tricky part: you need to make plans to contact those people and ask them to do those things for you. No, you're not calling them up and barking orders. But you are making reasonable adult requests, clearly and directly. That hasn't always been easy for you. It could just be that there are friends you wish you hung out with more regularly. Call them up and set a time. Or there's a loved one who is driving you crazy with one particular behavior. You guessed it: you need to sit them down and let them know. It's not the easiest work to do, but it will pay off for you considerably.

March 2020 is the beginning of a potentially very financially lucrative time for the Rat. This doesn't mean you're self-centered and callous. It does mean that you're independent and sharp, and these are good qualities to have in the world today.
