October 2021 Leo Horoscope

Leo the Lion, the king that commands respect and attention. During the month of October, you will come into contact with undeveloped aspects of yourself, versions that aren't apparent to the naked eye. There’s a secret about you that not many know about and it’s important that you at least know about it so you don’t suffer in its consequence. Accepting every aspect of yourself will be your destiny for October and loving yourself the way others do will be the lesson needed for Leo to succeed.

Gracious Leo, you don’t need anyone but yourself.

Leo, you are very powerful and unbothered. But you lie. You lie to the world on how you truly feel inside, and the struggles that come out of your being. What many don’t understand about the mighty Lion is that they see themselves as three beings, almost like Gemini, except these beings are all the same individual. The one that is shown to the world and the first person of this individual is the Lion. The mighty Lion, who commands attention and respect, is the star of the spotlight and wows the crowd with their looks and charm. This is the Lion with the biggest ego, although because of their maturity and healthy confidence, they manage to control it. Another Lion lives within the Grand Lion and that is the juvenile. The juvenile is the aspect of Leo that is very immature, jealous, egotistical, boastful, and cocky. They jump the gun and feel they are invincible. Most of Leo’s energy comes from this feisty and determined young Lion, and they harness the powers of the juvenile to accomplish far-out dreams. But the juvenile Lion can be too confident at times and make mistakes, rushing towards something it thinks it knows everything about. Within that Lion lives the smallest cat of all and that is the cub Lion. The cub is the baby, the attention-seeking, needy, compliment-hungry, naive, coddled version of the zodiac that only comes out to play once in a while. During October this baby cub will need the most attention because Ceres, the goddess-mother, will enter retrograde on the 8th, leaving the baby cub all alone in the den without any food or warmth. This can leave Leo to ache inside and desire comfort, attention, and a hug. It is the most vulnerable time for Leo in the entire cycle of the year, because Ceres plays such a huge role in nurturing that aspect of Leo. The vitality of Ceres' presence within Leo determines how the other Lions act and behave, and if the cub is needy, then the other Lions will be famished and parched. The best thing to do for Leo is to provide themselves with as many comforts as they can. This means warm food that “mom used to make”, or childhood movies that make you happy, even the smells of familiar things will bring you joy and feed the part of you that needs love.

When you feel content and comfortable, you will be able to think more clearly with the energy of Mercury becoming forward-thinking again. Mercury has been in retrograde for the past months and it usually means an era of haywire nuisances throughout the universe, but when the energy begins to move forward it introduces an air of clarity within the mind. Mercury will go direct on the 18th and open your mind to logic and communication. This can allow for the intensity that Ceres Retrograde brings to calm down. Luckily, you take in communication very easily and you bask in the spotlight of others listening to you. Mercury direct is a great thing for every version of Leo and can allow them to get out of their slump and go accomplish something in the outside world. The Lion isn’t meant to stay out of the spotlight forever, and they usually return to the outside world with a bang! As long as you keep your comforts handy when you get home, then you’ll be alright leaving the den on your own.
