May of 2022 will find fiery Leos, who are usually front and center to any excitement, taking a lesser role and watching everyone else's drama play out. Sometimes we all need a little celestial break, and with some of the chaos being rained upon other signs by the likes of Mercury and Venus, now is an excellent time to step off center stage and wait quietly in the wings.

The few bumps Lions find in their road during May 2022 will come from their ruler, the Sun, finding himself in some less than ideal aspects with some of the other ruling bodies. While the Sun is clearly the most dominant of ruling planets, and his favored Leos are not ones to shy away from a confrontation, this month is not the time to go looking for a fight.

After a short, three-month break, Mercury will re-enter retrograde on May 10th, hindering everyone's plans for travel and smooth communication. Mercury will remain in retrograde for the remainder of the month, not resuming his direct path until June 3rd. While these weeks are a good time for everyone to bite their tongues and think before they speak, this is especially true of bold Leos. You are known for your confidence and willingness to speak your mind. However, during times when lines of communication are easily skewed, your natural leadership may be seen as bossy or arrogant and lead to bitter feelings in those around you.

On the 15th of May, the Sun finds himself in a unique situation as he will enter both a sextile with Neptune and square off against Saturn. The sextile bond with Neptune, the ruler of all things ethereal and intuitive, will have you feeling as if you can see to the root of not only your own motives but those of the people around you as well. This bond will lead you to want to fix or heal any issues you feel are pressing on those around you. Beware, while your intentions are pure, this sextile comes during a conflict with Saturn, which signifies a time of upheaval and unexpected change. When you factor in Mercury's negative influence on communication, it is easy to see that your well-intended help may be viewed as meddling or controlling. In order to avoid any potential strife, it would be best to turn your heightened intuition inwards and focus on yourself instead.
