Duad

Each sign of the zodiac can be sub-divided into 3 parts known as Decans and then split into 12 sections known as Duads. A Duad, sometimes called a Dwad is estimated to cover around 2 and a half days of duration within a 360 degree zodiacal circle. The concept was devised by ancient Astrologers as a way of creating more reference points for astrological interpretation. Duad division provides 144 individual insights into a person's natal chart. This is because Duads are said to be ruled by the signs. so as there are twelve duads for each sign and 12 signs, this allows the large number of horoscope version possibilities.
