Gregorian Calendar
The Gregorian Calendar is used all around the world to date things and especially in modern Astrology. It was a replacement for the Roman Julian calendar that had become unworkable with the seasons and the accumulation of a few extra days. A new day, week, month, year recording method was devised in the 1580s by Pope Gregory XIII and began its first use in parts of Spain, Portugal and Italy. For astrological readings the Gregorian Calendar is consulted to identify an individual's birth day, date, month and year and so their allocated zodiac sign.
