David Robert Haywood Jones was born on January 8, 1942 in London, England. He is better known as David Bowie one of the most significant writers of pop music. He is also a singer and actor and dabbled in painting, playwriting and mime.
He received his big launch with the song Space Oddity in 1969. It was released at the same time as the moon landing.
