Arnold Schwarzenegger

Born in Austria on July 30, 1947, Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is an actor, businessman, politician, investor and bodybuilder. He was California's governor from 2003 until 2011. Arnold began weight training when he was only 15. He subsequently won the Mr. Universe title when he was 20 and won the Mr. Olympia contest seven time. He is a prominent person in bodybuilding and has written books and articles on the subject.
Arnold gained fame as an action film star. Arnold is a Republican and was elected in a recall election to replace Gray Davis. He was re-elected in 2006 to serve full time as a governor.
Arnold was in the Austrian Army in 1965 and during his service he won Junior Mr. Europe. He went AWOL to participate in the contest and was placed in prison for a week. Arnold was voted the best build man in Europe. In 1966 ?€“ 68 Arnold trained for to six hours a day, went to business school and worked in a health club. In 1979 he received a degree in international marketing of fitness and business administration (correspondence courses from the University of Wisconsin-Superior). Arnold released his book: Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder.
Arnold's film career started with Hercules in New York in1970. He next appeared in The Long Goodbye in 1973 and Stay Hungry in 1976. He received a Golden Globe for this performance. Arnold gained attention in the bodybuilding film Pumping Iron in 1977. Conan the Barbarian in 1982 was his first box office hit. In 1984 he was Conan the Destroyer. His signature role was in The Terminator in 1984. He made The Last Action Hero, Commando, Raw Deal, The Running Man, Predator and Red Heat in the 1980s.
Arnold showed his comedic side in Twins in 1988, Kindergarten Cop in 1990 and True Lies in 1994. He won a Golden Globe nomination for Junior, played in Jingle All The Way in 1996 and was Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin 1997. In 2003 he was again in a Terminator movie (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines).
Arnold appeared in The Expendables with a cameo appearance. He filmed The Expendables 2 in 2012, The Last Stand in 2013 and Escape Plan also in 2013. His next film is Sabotage in 2014 and The Legend of Conan in 2014.
Arnold married Maria Shriver n 1986. They have four children. In 2011 Shriver and Arnold divorced after 25 years of marriage. The cause was Arnold's many dalliances plus his affair with the housekeeper and fathering of another son.
