Mylene Farmer

Mylene Farmer was born September 12, 1961 under the sign of Virgo. She is a French songwriter, actress, writer, recording artist and entrepreneur. She was born in Quebec, Canada but raised in France. Mylene has sold more than 30 million records and is one of France's most successful recording artists. She has the most number one hits on the French music charts and her songs include Les Mots, XXL, Sans contrefacon, and Libertine.

Mylene exhibits her talents with controversial and poetic lyrics plus explicit music videos. Some songs hint of sodomy, her videos feature full frontal nudity, and songs about love in the AIDS era. Je te rends ton amour was banned in France due to the explicit sexual and violence content. It was later released as a video single and became the biggest selling video in France.

Mylene lived in California from 1995 through 1997. This was her break from her lackluster movie career. She wrote her fourth album Anamorphosee in California. Her lead song, XXL uses incredibly loud electric guitars and a video with Mylene strapped to the front of a moving train. The single XXL sold over half a million copies in 3 months.

In 2012 Mylene released a new album and the single A Iombre reached number one on the French Singles Charts with a short period of time. Her album Monkey Me was number one on the French music charts for months. Mylene toured France with her album Timeless 2013 in September of 2013 and over 200,000 tickets we sold on the first day.
