Isabelle Huppert

Isabelle Ann Hupper was born on March 16, 1953 in Paris France. She attended the Conservatory of Versaille and won a price for her acting work in Un caprice. She moved to the Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique and had a very nice theatrical career. She played in A Month in the Country, Eruipides and Medea. In 1971 Huppert made her film debut and gave excellent performances in The Lacemaker (1977) and Every Man for Himself in 1980.
Her U.S. debut was in Heaven's Gate in 1980 and moved on to Story of Women in 1988. She also had major roles in The King's Daughters in 2000 and The Piano Teacher in 2001. She has the most films in the Canne's official competition and has won Best Interpretation Awards twice. She has been nominated 13 times for a Cesar Award and won one for La Ceremonie in 1995.
Huppert has worked with Lolita Chammah (her daughter) in four films, Copacabana in 2010, La vie modern in 2000, Maline in 1991 and Story of Women in 1988. She has been on the jjry at the Cannes Film Festival in 1984 and again in 2009. She won an Oscar for the best foreign language film Amour in 2012.
Huppert has been married once to Ronald Chammah. They have three children and are still married.
