Hillary Rodham Clinton

Born on October 26, 1947, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton has been a .S. Senator, First Lady of the United States and Secretary of State under President Barack Obama. She was also a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.
Clinton was a commencement presenter at Wellesley College in 1969 and earn a law degree from Yale in 1973. She worked as a Congressional legal counsel then relocated to Arkansas and married Bill Clinton in 1975. They have one daughter. She help found the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families in 1977. She was the first female head of the Legal Services Corporation and a female partner at Rose law Firm. She was listed twice as one of the hundred most influential lawyers in America. She led a task force to reform Arkansas's education system while her husband was Governor.
As First Lady Clinton's major enterprise was the Clinton health care plan. She played an important role in the creation of the State children's health Insurance Program and the Adoption and Safe Families Act as well as the Foster Cre Independence Act. She was subpoenaed to testify before a federal grand jury in 1996 to speak about the Whitewater controversy. Her marriage survived the Lewinsky scandal in 1998 that nearly brought down the Presidency.
She was the first female Senator from New York and the only First lady to run for public office. She support military action in Afghanistan and the Iraq War Resolution. She then backtracked and objected to the administration's conduct of the Iraq War. As Secretary of State in 2009 Clinton was involved in the Arab Spring, U.S. military intervention in Libya and she was directly responsible for security lapses in the 2012 Benghazi attack. Clinton has always used social media to communicate her message globally.
Clinton has written a syndicated newspaper column. She wrote a book It Takes a Village and Other Lessons Children Teach Us in 1996. She wrote Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids' Letters to the First Pets in 1998 and An Invitation to the White House: At Home with History in 2000. She released her autobiography Living History in 2003 and Clinton was paid $8 million for this book.
Today Clinton is highly regarded and she continues to do well in Gallup's most admired man and woman poll. In 2013 she was named the most admired woman by Americans. Clinton is being set up to run for President of United States in the 2016 elections.
