Sandra Cretu

Sandra Ann Lauer is known as just Sandra was born May 18, 1962 and is a German singer who was very popular in the 1980s and 90s. Her songs In the Heat of the Night, Everlasting Love, Secret Land and Don't be Aggressive are still hugely popular. She was originally the lead singer of Arabesque which had a cult following in Japan and Russia. She provided vocals on the album release of Enigma and still remains one of the most popular singers of the 1980s. Sandra has sold in excess of 30 million records worldwide and is one of the most successful German pop vocalists.
Currently Sandra is working on a new musical direction and with her release of The Art of Love (2007) came within the top 20 in German charts. Sandra participated in composing and writing the album and the lyrics are personal and reflect her personal struggles. The Way I Am is the album's lead single and come in at number 50 in German. Her version of the All You Zombies is a hit in Poland.
In 2009 Sandra released Back to Life and features Latin pop, and R&B. In 2012 Sandra released Stay in Touch which is her tenth studio album. The album has retained modest success and her fans are very intrigued.
She was married to Michael Cretu from 1988 until 2007 and has been associated with Michael's group, Enigma.
