Ben Stiller

November 30, 1965 is the birth date for Benjamin Edward Stiller. He was born in New York City to Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, first class comedians. Ben grew up among the stars and at a young age he began shooting films on his movie camera. He loved to play tricks on the gorgeous and good looking and used this in his insecurities for Reality Bites in 1994. He dropped out of UCLA to perform on Broadway in The House of Blue Leaves. He shot a spoof of The Color of Money which later appeared on Saturday Night Live. He made his screen debut in Empire of the Sun in 1987. Ben directed Back to Brooklyn for MTV and was given his own show, The Ben Stiller Show in 1992. He was extremely satirical and funny, but the show bombed. He did win an Emmy after the cancellation.
He directed Jim Carrey in the Cable Guy in 1996 and There's Something About Mary in 1998 propelled him into the spotlight. He starred in Keep the Faith in 2000 and Meet the Parents in 2000. He is very lowbrow and is one of America's most popular actors.
Ben Stiller has a sarcastic and deadpan disposition and plays characters who find themselves in embarrassing situations. He loves to impersonate Tom Cruise and played his crazed stunt double on the 2000 MTV Movie Awards in 2000. Often his parents make cameo appearances in his movies and he has a clique of close friends that also appear in his movies: Owen Wilson, Kyle Gass, Jeaneane Garofalo and Jack Black. He enjoys appearing with Vince Vaughn and has done three movies with him.
Stiller is part of the Frat Pack which is a name referencing the film Old School from 2003. He has played in Zoolander in 2001, Envy in 2004, The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy in 2004. Stiller holds the records for Razzie Awards in one year. Along Came Polly, Dodgeball: A True underdog Story and Starsky & Hutch (2004). He directed Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder and Downey was nominated for an Oscar (2000). He is currently in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Ben is married to Christine Taylor, Marcia in the Brady Bunch Movie and they have two children.
