Grand Cross

A pattern formed by the planets when in Aspect. The Grand Cross happens when two planets are in opposition and two other planets in opposition cross them at 90-degree angles. Usually will occur within the same quality; Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable. Opinions differ as to whether it should be interpreted as an exceptional cosmic cross, and thus dynamic, energetic, and extroverted, or as "too much of a good thing", and tending toward diffusion. Astrologers consider this configuration to increase the strength of all four bodies.
