Significator

1. The body in a horoscope which is chosen to represent some event, or organ, or question under consideration. If a body is said to `rule' a subject, then that body is generally its significator in the horoscope. 2. A body which recieves an aspect from a promissor. In horary Astrology some planets are natural significators, such as Venus in questions of love, Mars in matters of contention.
