Azimuth

The primary angle of the Horizon system of coordinates. A measurement of a planet's angular distance from the Horizon in Degrees and Minutes Westward from where the Meridian intersects the south point of the Horizon to a vertical containing the planet, or, an angle made by the vertical of the planet to the Meridian. Astronomy uses this measurement as Zenith distance.
