Horse and Rat Compatibility Horoscope

Chinese Compatibility Horoscope for Combination of Horse and Rat Zodiac Signs.

Horse Years of Birth: 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014, 2026

Rat Years of Birth: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020

The Chinese horoscope is an invaluable resource for discovering aspects of your personality that you might not have understood otherwise. If you know your Chinese zodiac sign and your partner's or love interest's you can learn a lot about your compatibility.

As a Horse, your enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. You don't waste time asking questions; you just throw yourself right in, heart and soul, to whatever you want to pursue. The drawback to this is your tendency to miss the details, which can sometimes cause problems later. Also, your attention is sometimes diverted before a project is completed, and you can have a wandering eye in love, as well.

You can be inspiring, supportive, and optimistic, and when you're truly committed to something or someone, you devote all of your energy. You like to have a good time, and have a need to socialize. Your mind runs as fast as your body. You love fun, adventure, and travel, and prefer a mate that is the same way.

If you've fallen for a Rat, it's important to understand how she sees the world. Rats love parties as much as you do and for awhile you will be very happy and entertained together. Rats are devoted to their families, and keep secrets well-but only if those secrets are their own! You may find yourself upset with how many things your Rat keeps to herself, because you prefer honesty (even brutal honesty) and wearing your heart on your sleeve.

Even though Rats do like to socialize and have fun, they do not strike out without a plan.

Your tendency to throw yourself in too deep without looking first or bothering with details will eventually get on a Rat's nerves. She is a pessimist and will always know every detail so that she can avoid being backed into a corner. If your reckless schemes put her routines and plans in danger she will resent it.

Rats are phenomenal to have around during a crisis. You simply can't rattle them, and their logical brains work at high capacity even when everyone is panicking. If you do bite off more than you can chew (as you have a tendency to) you will enjoy having a Rat around, but she may get impatient if she is always rescuing you. In addition, you are likely to brush off her warnings before you take risks, which could make her feel ignored and undervalued.

Your inability to focus on practical details makes your household chaotic. In contrast, a Rat wants her home to be happy, safe, and secure. If you have children together, she will not appreciate your sudden absences while you pursue your latest scheme. It will frustrate her that you do not settle down and focus on what she sees as being important.

This is not the best match, and requires a lot of compromise to make it work. You will need to think of your Rat partner before yourself sometimes, and be willing to focus on priorities, even if you must force yourself sometimes. In return, the Rat does need to lighten up and understand your urge to gallop off into the sunset once in awhile. This union is likely to be passionate, and will require a lot of self-control from both parties.

I've never found my Earth Horse man to be mean, quite te opposite - very generous.

Maybe we both are a little more forgiving, having grown up poor. He is very much oriented around the pursuit of money, more so than I, but that is so he can give me the best of everything, and look after our parents.

He has recently said I should stop worko due to my illness, and pursue my artistic bent... sooo unselfish. I am a high functioning autistic, so perhaps I need less 'emotional' support than many water rats?

Actually, I have to remind myself that he needs more emotional support than I do. We really are very happy - I don't understand how other horses and rats have these crushing wars? Perhaps life experience comes into play a lot here. And I'm six years older - he likes my maturity and is mature himself - perhaps that's it? We talk on an adult level, instead of immaturely attacking each other.

I don't know, but we really are friends/lovers/companions, who understand each other.

(Opposite tastes though! We are on the last month of building a house - no arguments, a bit of compromise... he lets me have my way, as most of my time will be spent there!) He likes ultra clean modern, and I like classic Hamptons/New England. We combined styes quite well.

I'm a rat woman always attracted to younger horse men. They are so lively and appealing, with an irresistible sexual pull. However, for marriage I'd like to take the safe route and steer clear. I want to feel very secure and be practical. However, a horse boyfriend on the side would be perfect. Because, you know, some couples have arrangements.

I am a water rat lady, married to an earth horse - we have been married for 13 years no arguments. He tolerates my crazy leftist artistic ways and mess, and I tolerate his urge to be neat and tidy, conservative and plan everything. We are polar opposites in personality, and we are good for each other. He has lightened up, and I have settled down. We have a rock solid relationship, and he is good friends with my Mum, as she is an iron rabbit.
This makes our marriage ond home life always fun and interesting. We are both very tolerant, which makes this work. our marriage is an unassailable fortress against the world - his words!

I am a rat married to a horse I have never loved any man like I do him yes when we disagree it is bad I feel like I stepped in a war zone and he thinks no big deal we have a good strong relationship due to us having to be patient and try to see from the others point of view which can be difficult at first communication is a must he sometimes needs time to himself especially if his day was bad he doesn't want to take it out on me so he goes for a drive it can make me worry what he is up to while he is out but if I remind myself he will be back soon just blowing off steam it isn't so bad it takes work on both sides to make it work and it can, I also have a daughter that is a horse and you can learn a lot through a relationship mostly patience and understanding if you both are willing to make the effort, we have some amazing and fun times too and I wouldn't trade it for anything it is the most meaningful relationship I have ever and will ever have

I agree with this. Thank goodness I'm done with my horse. He is so insensitive and treats me like a possession that he could use anytime he wants. I agree that this relationship won't work unless we rats lends them our credit cards

I'm a Water Rat woman engaged to a Wood Horse man whom I love & adore very much. When we are in harmony, our relationship is fun, affectionate and wildly passionate. However, I have also had some of the most brutal, demoralizing and emotional conflicts with this man. His impulsive & abrupt behaviours can really knock me off balance, and his temper is quite threatening to my sense of inner stability & peace. He is not always someone I feel safe with socially, as he has eroded my trust on many occasions. Flirty. Attention seeking. His unpredictability can translate to always having one foot out the door. We are very similar in some ways, yet also quite different. I don't think he entirely understands how sensitive I am, and how easily offended I can be by his wily antics & freedom~loving trots. I seem to need more reassurance than he naturally delivers, too. Disagreements are indeed combustive & I can honestly see why the Chinese feel we are doomed. However, I am hopeful and keep trying to find compromises & adaptability and he is making adjustments too. This union requires lots of compromise, even sacrafice, as well as maturity, patience & resourcefulness to work. Tolerance in great amounts is a must.

I am a rat woman my husband is a horse one of my daughters is also a horse it can be a strong loving relationship arguments leave me feeling like I just stepped in a war zone but to them they don't see it like we do the main thing is learning patience on both sides and trying to see from the others point of view which can be a task but if you both work at it it can become the strongest most solid relationship it won't be easy or boring and you can have some pretty amazing times communication is key an absolute must

i am very disappointed in this compatibility as i would have thought that the horse would provide stability for the rat, and the rat would lighten up the horses life a little bit more. as a rat woman, i really do care about my horse man, and the one good thing this compatibility has told me is that he needs his space which i understand and the passion between me and him is insatiable.
i think this is one relationship that can work out if they begin to understand each others needs, once that is done, they will be able to run freely together and explore the world. the horse will need to understand that he should explain his feelings more intimately with his partner, and the rat should take things more seriously and stop thinking negatively (trust me i have been there).

What first looked like a fairy tale story with Rat man after one year it turned into cold catastrophic relationship. As Horse woman I could never understand the calculating mean nature of Rat.

I Hate despise resent contempt horse- the most mean and pointless sign in the horoscope. They should never be in a relationship, they are better be off on their own and don't bother other people.

That's funny. I'm a horse and this is why we don't like rats. Very angry, negative comment. Huh

You may well be looking in a mirror. Horse and Rat are opposites and often they're quite similar, therefore they share some of their characteristics. A Horse person can be like a Rat and vice versa. There are quite a few Horse/Rat relationships and marriages out there that do work. They can work it out when both are evolved enough.

You should leave the horse alone if you're always betraying the horse!
